Rma Return Instruction
Once you have been issued an RMA number by the RMA department, please use the fo
llowing guidelines in returning product to us. If you do not have an RMA#, Plea
se contact our RMA dept. for authorization PRIOR to returning the product.
Packaging
We strongly recommend that the original packaging be used when returning
product to us. In some cases manufacturers warranties require original
packaging. Please check with the RMA department if you no longer have
original packaging.
- Hard Drives/Tape Drives/CD-/DVD-ROM: Drives should be placed in anti-static packaging and sealed prior to being shipped.
- Memory modules and electronic boards should be individually wrapped in anti-static packaging and wrapped in bubble wrap to avoid shipping damage from shifting of contents. The original packaging for these items is preferred, and in some cases required.
- All returns must be double boxed, surrounded on all sides by 2” or more of packing material, such as solid foam or bubble wrap.
- Do not used peanut or popcorn material as it will allow the parts to shift in transport and may break apart and stick inside electronic components.
- Returning product damaged irreparably due to poor packaging may void the ANACAPA warranty. We encourage you to insure returning product for current market value as most shipping companies default insurance is for $100.00 USD.
- The RMA number must be clearly visible on either the exterior packaging or the shipping label. Product not clearly marked with RMA number may be refused.
Shipping
- RMA's must be sent through a carrier that has the capability to trace shipments by a tracking number method such as UPS, FEDEX or DHL. We do not accept U.S. Mail at our physical address. ANACAPA will not be responsible for RMA’s shipped via U.S. Mail.
- RMA product must be freight prepaid to our loading dock unless you are granted an exception by the RMA department.
- Product must be received at our loading dock within 5 days of issue of RMA number. Product not received within 5 days may be refused. Exceptions will be granted in advance on a case by case basis.
- Please include a copy of your RMA authorization email with returning product.
